Trippin’ Billies, The Jimmys to Headline HartFest in Tosa, June 13-14

WAUWATOSA, WISCONSIN, May 20, 2025—Tosa’s beloved summer kick-off event is back and better than ever in 2025, featuring performances by the popular Dave Matthews tribute band Trippin’ Billies and regional blues standouts The Jimmys.

For the third year in a row, HartFest, presented by Lakefront Brewery, will also offer some of the area’s best BBQ. Well-known BBQ food trucks are scheduled to attend (along with many other food vendors offering a range of cuisine), plus the Bunzels’ Backyard BBQ Cookoff and People’s Choice Tasting is back at the festival on Saturday.

HartFest will be held on and around the Rotary Stage in Hart Park Friday, June 13, from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and proceeds from the event will benefit local nonprofits.

This year’s fest features an outstanding music lineup. Trippin’ Billies will headline on Friday, June 13, with the Chris Haise Band opening. On Saturday, Wisconsin’s 2025 Blues Band of the Year will take the stage, with The Stephen Hull Experience and Blues Addiction leading it off.

The Bunzel’s Backyard BBQ Cookoff takes place on Saturday, June 14. Some of the area’s top barbecuers will spend the morning cooking up their best chicken and ribs. Beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a panel of experts will judge the entries. Festival-goers will have a chance to sample the entries and vote to name a People’s Choice award winner in a ticketed event starting at 1 p.m.

The festival is rounded out by more than a dozen of the area’s top food and beverage vendors and a Vendor Marketplace featuring artisan items.

“The live music lineup at this year’s HartFest is another homerun,” says Maria Panno, Executive Director of the Wauwatosa Village Business Improvement District. “Trippin’ Billies is a regional draw and one of best Dave Matthews tribute bands in the nation. And The Jimmys are recognized as a top band in the state. This will be a party like Hart Park has never seen before.”
