Track & Field Earns Three BIG EAST Weekly Awards

Beck, Bynum and Waterstradt earn weekly award in final honors of outdoor season

NEW YORK – Marquette University track & field’s Julia BeckAnnika Bynum, and William Waterstradt earned weekly awards in the final weekly honor roll of the outdoor season, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Annika Bynum earned women’s field athlete of the week honors after tying the program record in the high jump, clearing 1.80 meters at the Uncaged Eagle Open. Bynum’s mark ranks first in the BIG EAST this outdoor season.

Julia Beck was named women’s track athlete of the week after tying the program record in the 100 hurdles at 13.92 seconds, the third-best time in the conference this season.

William Waterstradt earned men’s track athlete of the week after a 14.85 second 110 hurdle race at the Uncaged Eagle Open, .01 seconds off his PR that is the sixth-best time in the BIG EAST.

Marquette returns to action at the 2025 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships presented by JEEP Thursday, May 15 to Saturday, May 17 in Storrs, Connecticut.
