State Coalition Against Domestic Violence Announces Asha Returning to Independent Programming
Madison – April 17, 2025 – Today, End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin (End Abuse) announced that The Asha Project – formerly known as Asha Family Services (Asha) – will no longer be under the umbrella of the coalition as an independent project as of April 18, 2025. Following several years of planned temporary coalition affiliation, they will again function as a standalone program as was outlined when joining the coalition as a project to re-establish fully autonomous services.
As one of the first culturally specific domestic violence program in the country, Asha has been a critical and unique part of the City of Milwaukee’s safety net for more than 30 years.
Their departure is a time of continuous celebration for what the organization represents and all they do for the Milwaukee community and beyond.
