Susan Crawford is Exploiting Rape Victims

MADISON, Wis. — Dangerously liberal Susan Crawford is cherry-picking statistics and exploiting thousands of rape victims from to hide from her disgraceful record of repeatedly protecting criminals.

Crawford’s record clearly reveals she ignores victims and coddles criminals.

• When Crawford worked for the Doyle administration, she worked to release an alarming number of felons from prison back onto Wisconsin’s streets.
• Crawford gave O’Brien only four years in prison for sexually assaulting the same child multiple times.
• Crawford gave Kevin Welton, a serial child predator, only four years in prison — even though Crawford could have sentenced him to 100 years behind bars. Welton only served two years and now lives less than four minutes from an elementary school.

In contrast, Brad Schimel‘s record is one of providing justice and protecting Wisconsin’s most vulnerable.

• A backlog of rape kits was created by a Democrat administration. Schimel was the one — collaborating with bipartisan groups including law enforcement, victim’s rights groups, hospitals, the legislature, crime lab analysts, and prosecutors — who recognized the problem and implement real solutions.
• During Schimel’s time as Attorney General, he started the Wisconsin Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, also known as WISAKI, and cleared over 4,000 rape kits from the backlog. Brad Schimel fixed what liberals chose to ignore.
• As a Circuit Court Judge, Schimel has prioritized victims and provided closure and justice.

The attempt by the Left to perpetuate this lie is a direct insult to both victims of assault AND the men and women of law enforcement.
