Rep-Elect Jim Piwowarczyk Named Vice Chair of Assembly’s Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee
Town of Erin – Rep-Elect Jim Piwowarczyk was named vice chair of the state Assembly’s Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee, a key leadership post that he will use to strengthen law enforcement and help improve the safety and security of Wisconsin families.
Piwowarczyk, 54, of the Town of Erin, was also named to five other Assembly standing committees: Colleges and Universities; Housing and Real Estate; State and Federal Relations; Sporting Heritage; and State Affairs.
“I’m honored to have been selected to serve on these committees,” Piwowarczyk said. “I look forward to fulfilling my campaign pledge to bring common-sense legislation to Madison that will help my district and the entire state. As a former law enforcement officer, I believe my experience will be an asset as I work to improve public safety for all Wisconsin families.”
Piwowarczyk, the co-founder of the conservative news site Wisconsin Right Now.com, is a former law enforcement officer who served for almost 20 years Glendale and Kewaskum Police Departments. He is a Republican who is also a licensed Wisconsin real estate broker. He is also an avid fisherman, and hunter, and is a CCW holder.
The 107th Wisconsin State Legislature begins on January 6, 2025, when new members are inaugurated, including Piwowarczyk. He will serve the 98th Assembly District. The district includes Hartford, Sussex, Merton, Richfield, the Town of Erin, Lisbon, and more.
