MILWAUKEE — As former President Trump holds a rally this evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin physicians are backing a mobile billboard circling the venue that states, “Patients Need Care, Not ‘Concepts.’ Donald Trump: What is Your Health Care Plan?” During the presidential debate on Sept. 10, Trump called Obamacare “lousy health care,” and when pressed about how he would change it, said he had “concepts of a plan.” In the nearly two months since, he has failed to share any plans.

On Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson said that if Trump wins the election, there will be “no Obamacare.”

The mobile billboard will be circling the Fiserv Forum from 1pm to 9pm ct.

“With literally just days left until Election Day, Wisconsin voters deserve to hear from the former president about whether and how he would change the health care they rely on,” said Dr. Ann Helms, a Milwaukee neurologist and Wisconsin Lead for the Committee to Protect Health Care. “As doctors who know how critical the Affordable Care Act is to our patients, it’s unacceptable that Donald Trump, who has been running for president for nearly 10 years now, hasn’t shared a concrete plan for the law with voters. With other high ranking Trump allies claiming that a second Trump presidency will mean the end of Obamacare, Trump should be able to confirm or deny such claims and back up what he says with details. Otherwise, Wisconsinites should be warned that their health care, including protections for people with pre-existing conditions, are probably on the chopping block.”
