Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson Endorses Stroebel for State Senate
Cedarburg – State Senator Duey Stroebel (R – Cedarburg) issued the following statement in response to the endorsement from Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson in his bid for Wisconsin’s 8th Senate District:
“Waukesha County has seen first-hand the consequences of the progressive left’s soft on crime policies, in the form of crime coming over from Milwaukee,” Severson said. “Often it involves more frequent incidences of drug trafficking or reckless driving by repeat offenders, we know that the catch and release approach to crime does not work. I’m supporting Duey Stroebel because he can always be counted on to give law enforcement the tools they need to keep our residents safe because he keeps us at the table on issues important to law enforcement and public safety.”
Severson joins Ozaukee County Sheriff Christy Knowles, Washington County Sheriff Marty Schulteis, and the Milwaukee Police Association as the latest member of law enforcement to back Stroebel in his bid for the 8th Senate District.
“I am proud to be law enforcement’s choice for Wisconsin’s 8th Senate District,” Stroebel said. “Members of the law enforcement community from all corners of the 8th Senate District are supporting me because they know that I have a record of getting things accomplished in Madison and that I will always support the men and women who wear the badge.”
