Milwaukee County Board Shifts Regular Meeting Times to Noon for Enhanced Accessibility
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors has approved an amendment to the Milwaukee County Code of General Ordinances, establishing noon as the new start time for regular meetings. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and engagement for both Supervisors and the general public.
Supervisor Kathleen Vincent, the lead sponsor of the amendment, thanked her colleagues in the following statement:
“I am thrilled that my colleagues have acknowledged the positive impact of shifting regular County Board meetings to noon. This change will enable us to better balance our professional commitments with our duties as public servants. It recognizes the challenges faced by many of us who juggle other jobs while fostering increased public engagement and inclusivity.”
The adopted resolution will now be sent to the desk of the County Executive for approval.
