Congresswoman Gwen Moore Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Ruling on Mifepristone

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously rejected the challenge to the FDA’s authority allowing mifepristone to be used as an abortion medication. In response, Congresswoman Moore released the following statement:

“Mifepristone has been a safe and effective medication for more than 20 years. Extremist Republican judges sought to undermine access to this medication to erode women’s reproductive freedoms even more. The U.S. Supreme Court made the right decision but we must remain watchful and continue working to restore and strengthen reproductive freedoms for women across the country.”
