Imagine MKE to Convene Greater Milwaukee Creative Economy Forum with Support from Partners Including MMAC and VISIT Milwaukee

The Nov 1 session will gather a diverse group of civic, non-profit, private sector, philanthropic and educational leaders to discuss the influence of the creative economy on economic and social vibrancy

MILWAUKEE, WI, Sept. 25, 2023 — Imagine MKE, a nonprofit organization established in 2019 to advance the Greater Milwaukee area’s arts and culture, along with partners Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, VISIT Milwaukee, the United Performing Arts Fund, MKE Downtown BID, and MKE Tech Hub are proud to announce the Greater Milwaukee Creative Economy Forum on Monday, Nov 1 from 4 pm- 6 pm. This invitation-only event will unite the region’s foremost civic, business, education, and philanthropic leaders to explore how Milwaukee can increase social and economic vibrancy through strategic investment in our diverse creative economy.

The session will convene visionary local leaders across diverse sectors who each have a role to play in harnessing the potential of our community’s creative economy to drive Milwaukee to a brighter future. The event’s program will feature speakers including the City of Milwaukee’s Commissioner of City Development Lafayette Crump, the MMAC’s Senior Vice President Dale Kooyenga, Imagine MKE’s Executive Director Adam Braatz, a detailed overview of the results of the recent Arts and Economic Prosperity Survey (conducted by Imagine MKE and Americans for the Arts and released in mid-October), and a discussion about opportunities to harness the power of Milwaukee’s cultural and creative assets to drive a brighter future for our city. Light refreshments will be served during a networking portion.
