Milwaukee Health Department Hosts 22nd Annual Back to School Health Fair
MILWAUKEE – The new school year is right around the corner, and the City of Milwaukee Health Department wants to make sure Milwaukee students and families are set up for a healthy, successful year. This year’s annual Back-to-School Health Fair will be held on Friday, July 28 at Fiserv Forum and the Deer District (1111 N. Vel R. Phillips Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The health fair is free and open to the public.
Services at the fair include free routine childhood immunizations (no insurance required), COVID-19 vaccines for all eligible individuals 6 months and older, other health screenings for children and adults, and free kids backpacks and school supplies.
Additionally, Milwaukee Health Department programs and community partners will provide health resources and information, the Milwaukee Fire Department will host firetruck tours, Social X MKE‘s Health & Wellness Pillar will offer fun, fast, family workouts throughout the day, DJ RC and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Steel Drum Band will bring the music and entertainment, and the Milwaukee Bucks’ very own Hoop Troop will join for photo opportunities. Bebe’s Bistro, The Fatty Patty, Kona Ice, and Sweet Crush Ice Cream food trucks will be available in the Deer District.
