MKE Tech Hub Coalition Transitions Milwaukee Tech Week to Milky Way Tech Hub, Elevating Collaboration and Celebrating WI Tech Month
Milwaukee – MKE Tech Hub Coalition has announced that it will be transitioning Milwaukee Tech Week to the Milky Way Tech Hub, as part of a broader effort to promote collaboration and support WI Tech Month. This strategic move underscores the pivotal role the two tech hubs play in fostering collaboration, amplifying the tech ecosystem, and celebrating the achievements of the Wisconsin tech industry and its community members.
This move illustrates the MKE Tech Hub Coalition’s commitment to a unified approach toward connecting the tech community and celebrating innovation across Wisconsin. MKE Tech Hub Coalition will continue to host signature events during WI Tech Month including Meet the Meet Ups, Startup Showcase, and the Healthtech MKE Pitch Event.
“This transition represents an important milestone in our journey of collaboration and community-building for the Milwaukee tech ecosystem,” said Kathy Henrich, CEO of the MKE Tech Hub Coalition. “By bringing together Milwaukee Tech Week with WI Tech Month, we aim to unite Wisconsin’s tech community, celebrating the spirit of collaboration and innovation to drive positive change.”
Past attendees of Milwaukee Tech Week will be glad to learn that the event’s community-led programming will now be incorporated into WI Tech Month. Entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders who attended Milwaukee Tech Week in years past will have an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and forge transformative partnerships throughout the entire month of October.
“The addition of Milwaukee Tech Week to WI Tech Month marks a transformative expansion of our collective impact,” explained Nadiyah Johnson, founder of the Milky Way Tech Hub and its parent company, Jet Constellations. “We are excited for the addition of MKE Tech Week with Wisconsin Tech Month. The Milky Way Tech Hub is well positioned to leverage this moment to continue to foster an environment that emphasizes justice, equity, and inclusion through technology. I’m excited for the continuous growth of WI Tech Month and its potential to grow our tech ecosystem while propelling economic growth, spurring job creation, and positioning Wisconsin as a premier tech destination for all people, especially those from groups that have historically been excluded from economic prosperity.”
