Gov. Evers Calls Special Election for 24th Assembly District
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today signed Executive Order #198 calling a special election for the 24th Assembly District, as a vacancy has been created by the election of State Sen. Daniel Knodl to the 8th Senate District.
Circulation of nomination papers for candidates may begin today, May 5, 2023, and must be filed by 5 p.m. on May 23, 2023.

If this was a Democratic seat and we had a Republican governor like Tim Michaels, this seat would be left vacant as long as possible which would bring the Assembly one seat closer to a super majority for the Republicans.
