License suspended for Milwaukee motor vehicle dealer

By - Feb 10th, 2023 01:36 pm

The motor vehicle dealer license for A Able Auto Inc., located at 6313 West Forest Home Avenue, Milwaukee, is suspended for seven days for failing to properly follow administrative requirements. The order, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), determined that A Able Auto violated state law when they deliberately falsified location information on motor vehicle title and registration application forms to avoid emissions testing and wheel tax fees.

The decision to suspend the license was upheld by a WisDOT hearing on December 13, 2022. Dealers are given 30 days to appeal a suspension to the state Division of Hearing and Appeals. A Able Auto did not appeal and the decision is final. The dealer’s license is suspended for seven business days, from February 11 to 18, 2023, and they are not allowed to conduct business during this time.

WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
