MILWAUKEE (Oct. 28, 2022) – For the fifth season, Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin are partnering to raise awareness and tackle hunger across the state with Coach Bud’s Assists for Hunger program. Throughout the 2022-23 season, Budenholzer will donate $15 to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin for every Bucks assist, with a commitment of $25,000 minimum.

Last year Budenholzer donated $29,400, and in four years the total with this program is $120,135. The Bucks have racked up more than 7,700 assists since the program’s first season in 2018-19.

“We are thrilled to once again team up with Coach Budenholzer as we work together towards ending hunger in our state,” said Patti Habeck, President and CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. “Coach Bud has been a great champion and leader in helping provide meals for our neighbors in need for many seasons now. We’ll be rooting for the Bucks all season long!”

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin food banks are able to provide food for nearly three meals for every dollar donated, meaning one assist by the Bucks will equal approximately 45 meals. Since the program’s inception, Coach Bud’s Assists for Hunger has contributed more than 2.3 million meals.

Bucks fans are encouraged to join Budenholzer in his effort to tackle hunger statewide by donating to their local food bank. To find a local food bank, or to learn more about Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, visit www.FeedingWisconsin.org.
