Reappointment of Fire Chief Aaron Lipski a win for Milwaukee
Statement of Alderman Mark A. Borkowski April 22, 2022
I want to congratulate Aaron Lipski on his reappointment as Fire Chief for the next four years. Since he has taken over as chief in the fall of 2020, Chief Lipski has consistently demonstrated the leadership, vision and dedication necessary to lead the department into the future. Perhaps most importantly, during his tenure thus far, his enthusiasm, inclusiveness and transparency have been off the charts.
Milwaukee is very fortunate to have a hometown person leading the department, especially one with a long line of family firefighters like Chief Lipski. It’s safe to say that serving the community and fighting fires is in his blood, and I’m confident he will be an outstanding leader for the Milwaukee Fire Department in the years to come.
Congratulations again Chief Lipski. I wish you nothing but continued success.
