Ambulance, bus crash leaves five injured
Statement of Alderman Mark A. Borkowski December 8, 2021
Yesterday, one of Milwaukee’s private ambulance companies (Bell Ambulance) was involved in a vehicle accident. While parked and attending to a patient, a Milwaukee County bus ran into the ambulance causing it to flip and resulted in injuries to two Bell employees, including one critically, and five people total.
I am hoping all involved have a speedy recovery.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but I extend my kudos to the Milwaukee Fire Department and all those who responded in a timely manner.
While reckless driving continues to plague our community it is vital that ALL drivers follow the traffic rules, be courteous of other drivers and pedestrians who share the roads, and be aware of their surroundings at all times. The health of our city is at stake!
