On Wednesday, June 23 from 4 – 6 p.m. a COVID-19 vaccination clinic and meal giveaway will occur at Greater Mt. Sinai Church, 5384 N. 60th Street. The event is a partnership between Greater Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ, United Health Care Community Plan and Hayat Pharmacy. Free meals will be available for participants after receiving their COVID-19 vaccine. The food distribution is sponsored by GMS Home & Foreign Mission.

Common Council President Cavalier Johnson encourages those who are not yet vaccinated to attend the local event. “Vaccination remains a key part of our continued fight against COVID-19. For those who have not yet received a vaccine, this event is a great opportunity to do so and receive a free meal in the process,” he said.

Vaccinations are free of charge and no health insurance is required. Same-day transportation to the event is also available. To schedule a ride, Wisconsin Medicaid members may call MTM, Inc. at (866) 907-1493. The event will also include a free entry for a raffle giveaway, and a free 2nd dose gift card. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information residents can contact Member Advocates at 1 (888) 246-8140.
