Humboldt Park Beer Garden One Step Closer to Reality
Beer Garden Scheduled to Open This Month
Supervisor Jason Haas is excited to announce the proposed beer garden in Humboldt Park is just one step from being a done deal.
The Milwaukee Common Council Licenses Committee gave unanimous approval to the liquor license application of St. Francis Brewery. The application now goes in front of the entire Common Council June 24th. The Brewery had already reached a contract agreement with the Milwaukee County Parks Department.
“I’d like to thank Alderman Tony Zielinski and the Licenses Committee for its support of the Beer Garden,” Supervisor Jason Haas said. “I truly feel this will be a good thing for Humboldt Park and the Bay View neighborhood.”
If the Council approves the license, St. Francis Brewery is hoping to open the beer garden on Monday, June 30th. The beer garden will be open from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. weekdays and 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. weekends.
St. Francis is already working on making improvements to the area in and around the Humboldt Park pavilion, which will be the home of the beer garden.
“St. Francis Brewery has been a great partner so far in working with the county and the neighborhood to address suggestions and concerns as we’ve gone through this process,” Supervisor Haas said. “I look forward to meeting with my neighbors to celebrate our wonderful park over a beer, soda and pretzel.”
