WHITEFISH BAY – President Barack Obama announced today his endorsement of Deb Andraca in her race for Wisconsin’s 23rd Assembly District. Andraca is gaining momentum as a candidate fighting for a safer, smarter, and healthier Wisconsin.

“Today I am incredibly proud to receive an endorsement from Barack Obama,” said Andraca. “When we started this campaign last November, I never could have imagined that this would happen. His endorsement highlights the importance of this election, not only for our nation and state but for our communities too.”

Today’s announcement puts Andraca in a select group of state legislative candidates from around the country to be endorsed by Obama.

“I’m proud to endorse these outstanding Democratic candidates who will work to get the virus under control, rebuild the economy and the middle class, and protect Americans’ health care and pre existing conditions protections from Republican assault,” said former President Barack Obama. “They’re dedicated to shoring up and strengthening our democracy, a project that’s going to take time and require all of us — but it begins by electing Democrats right now. So give these candidates your vote — and vote early if you can, either by mail or in person.”
