A Team Effort to Clean Up Morgan Park
Two Neighborhoods Come Together for Spring Cleaning
On this Earth Day, Supervisor Jason Haas announces he will join his Morgan Park neighbors Saturday, April 26, to help clean up the park to get it ready for spring. People are encouraged to “meet at the corner of KK and Morgan” at 10:00 A.M. It’s part of the 2014 Great American Cleanup.
This year it will be a team effort thanks to a neighborhood exchange with the Cold Spring Park Neighborhood. Earlier this month both groups worked to clean up the north side neighborhood. Both parks are also getting help from Milwaukee Job Corps youth volunteers.
This is a family-friendly event. Rakes and “Little Grabbers” for the kids will be provided by Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, Inc. There will also be some giveaways for participants.
“We’re excited to get back into the park this year and keep it clean for our neighbors and all of Bay View,” Supervisor Haas said. “I’m glad we are working together with Cold Spring Park neighbors to help strengthen two communities.”
