Join a virtual global movement and ‘Pause with Pittsburgh’
Wherever you are on Oct. 27, you can send a message of solidarity to the Pittsburgh community.
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin–Nearly one year ago, the Jewish community suffered the most brutal antisemitic attack in the history of the United States when a gunman opened fire in the Tree of Life building in Pittsburgh, taking the lives of 11 innocent people from three congregations: Dor Hadash, New Light and Tree of Life * Or L’Simcha.
One year later, on Oct. 27, 2019 at 4 p.m., thousands will Pause with Pittsburgh in a collective moment of remembrance and on online memorial service. Wherever you are on Oct. 27, you can send a message of solidarity to the Pittsburgh community.
In partnership with the Jewish Federations of North America, the Milwaukee Jewish Federation encourages the greater Milwaukee-area community to please take the literal seconds to register now at PauseWithPittsburgh.com. You will opt in to receive a series of text messages which include:
- A video at 4 p.m. Sunday with a mourning prayer and the names of the 11 lives lost.
- A link to a livestream video where you can join the Pittsburgh community in a public memorial service.
- An opportunity to submit a message of support.
