Festival City Symphony’s March 25 Concert, “Passion, Beauty, and Light,” Features French Composers
The concert will welcome spring with passionate compositions from three French masters offering unique impressions of the world around us.
Milwaukee, Wis.—Festival City Symphony will continue its 2017-2018 “Symphony Sundays” series with a concert titled Passion, Beauty, and Light on Sun., March 25, at 3:00 pm at the Pabst Theater, 144 East Wells Street.
The concert will welcome spring with passionate compositions from three French masters offering unique impressions of the world around us. Under the direction of newly appointed Music Director Carter Simmons, the orchestra will perform “Pavane, op. 50” by Gabriel Fauré, “Nocturnes” by Claude Debussy, and “L’Arlessienne Suites 1 & 2” by Georges Bizet. The Hartford Union High School Women’s Chorus directed by Ernie Brusubardis II will guest perform.
FCS welcomes children to these concerts, which are most appropriate for those in second grade and older. Prior to each concert at 2:45 p.m., Lynn Roginske presents “Children’s Program Notes,” offered to help children become familiar with the music they are about to hear.
