Park East Art Gallery

The Park East corridor is temporarily filled with art, and it’s well worth your time to check out.  Approved by the Milwaukee Arts Board, the temporary installation draws attention to the history and unique character of the land formerly occupied by a freeway.  Alderman Michael Murphy, chair of the Milwaukee Arts Board, held a press conference today to officially open the project to the public.

IN:SITE, “a resource for temporary public art,” was the organization in charge of implementing the art project.

Kudos to the Milwaukee Arts Board, IN:SITE, the artists themselves, and the numerous property owners that all helped to make this project possible.

A map of the installations has been provided by IN:SITE.  The Sydney Hih building is everyday until August 30th for the public to learn more about the project.
