Final session in series of special Public Safety Committee meetings set for Monday
The effort is part of a larger Common Council initiative to engage community members, civic leaders and police in combatting the epidemic of criminal activity in the City of Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Common Council’s Public Safety Committee will hold its final session in a series of special meetings at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, featuring discussions with Milwaukee County Health and Human Services Director Hector Colon, Reggie Moore and Erin Perkins from the City of Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention, Mallory O’Brien from the Homicide Review Commission and Milwaukee Health Commissioner Bevan Baker.
Each in the series of meetings has been intended to examine the role of a different facet of the public safety process, committee chair Ald. Bob Donovan said, offering civic leaders the opportunity to take collaborative action and reduce violent crime. The effort is part of a larger Common Council initiative to engage community members, civic leaders and police in combatting the epidemic of criminal activity in the City of Milwaukee.
The meeting will take place in room 301-B of Milwaukee City Hall.
