Representative Brostoff Thanks the UW Credit Union for their Commitment to their Employees
Last Session, Rep. Brostoff was a co-sponsor of Assembly Bill 264 which would have raised minimum wage to $15 per hour.
MILWAUKEE— Representative Jonathan Brostoff (D- Milwaukee) applauds the UW Credit Union’s recent pledge to raise their hourly wages to $15 an hour by September 2017.
“The UW Credit Union is setting an example for Wisconsin businesses. This sort of commitment to both employees and customers is important for businesses to have, especially in Wisconsin’s current economic and job market climate,” said Brostoff. “My wife and I are proud members of the UW Credit Union, and I thank them for taking this step. I hope this motivates other Wisconsin businesses to do the same.”
The CEO of UW Credit Union, Paul Kundert, has explained that the raise coincides with increased productivity of UW Credit Union employees and the institution’s pledge to continually provide employees with a living wage.
Last Session, Rep. Brostoff was a co-sponsor of Assembly Bill 264 which would have raised minimum wage to $15 per hour. This legislation failed to pass the Republican-controlled legislature.
