Broydrick, Lobbyist for Disaster Preparedness Group Faces Own Disaster in D.C. Whore Scandal
Bill Broydrick, the Milwaukee and Washington lobbyist who signed the National Center for Disaster Preparedness as a client on July 2nd, is facing a disaster of his own, according to news reports linking him with Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the “Washington Madam.”
Charles Benson of WTMJ [Ch.4] in Milwaukee reported that a website linked Broydrick’s cellular telephone number to calls made to Pamela Martin & Associates, which has been described as Palfrey’s prostitution firm. [See photograph of Broydrick on telephone, left.]
Benson had Broydrick’s cell phone number and he entered it into the database of dcphonelist dot com, which holds thousands of telephone numbers, and is only searchable in that fashion.
Sure enough, Broydrick’s name came up, and Benson tried to contact the lobbyist, who vociferously declined to comment, hung up, and then called back with a comment that he had no comment. It doesn’t sound like he was prepared for that disaster.
Broydrick prides himself in being Wisconsin’s largest lobbyist, and has a powerhouse list of clients in Madison and in Washington.
His Madison clients (here’s the complete list) include John Vice of Children’s Hospital, the Association of State Prosecutors, Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc., and the Wisconsin Voluntary Trial Judges Association.
In our nation’s capital, in addition to the disaster preparedness center, he has lobbied since June 3, 2003 for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer Feld, the Washington law firm that hired former Governor Tommy Thompson in 2005. Broydrick also lobbies congress for the Seed Foundation, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin ($85,571), the Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District ($50,538), the North Shore Fire Department (!), Discovery World (“appropriations advocacy”), the National Association of Children’s Hospitals, Aurora Health Care and other clients too numerous to mention, including the embattled Milwaukee Public Museum and WE Energies.
However, to tie a lobbyist to outside prostitutes is a serious allegation, and there are accounts suggesting Ms. Palfrey may be a bit unhinged. (See for yourself on her website.)
In fact, Ms. Palfrey said Pamela Martin & Associates was a “high-end adult fantasy firm which offered legal sexual and erotic services across the spectrum of adult sexual behavior and did so without incident during its 13-year tenure.”
That should settle that!
