Desaparecidos

This week’s releases provide The Ticket Window with another diverse spread of concert and show announcements. That includes Conor Oberst‘s reunited band Desaparecidos, country punkers Lucero, a behind-the-scenes look at a popular cooking show and even a show that supports suicide prevention. Hard to get a more varied lineup than that.

Think Through Your Life

Sunday, July 12th – Turner Hall Ballroom – 4 p.m. – $24.99 in advance

Think Through Your Life (TTYL) is a suicide prevention event conceptualized by three high school teenagers. The first event, held September 2014, helped raise $5,000 for the National Alliance of Mental Illness. TTYL’s purpose is to gain awareness for the problem of teen suicide by teaching warning signs and providing suicide prevention resources to those who need help. TTYL believes that music helps to promote a positive state of mind. Popular young artists Ryan Beatty, Christian Leave, and Braiden Wood will perform in hopes that teens will leave educated and inspired to help prevent this societal issue.
