Ald. Spiker to Host Two Budget-centric Town Hall Meetings Next Week

By - Oct 14th, 2026 09:39 am

13th District Alderman Scott Spiker will host two town hall meetings next week, giving area residents an opportunity to learn more about the Mayor’s proposed 2027 city budget and ask questions about the budget process.

The first town hall meeting will take place on Monday, October 19 at 6 p.m. at the Anderson Water Tower, 4001 S. 6th St. The second town hall will take place on Thursday, October 22 at 6 p.m. at Victory School, 2222 W. Henry Ave. Both meetings will feature a presentation from the City of Milwaukee Budget and Management Division, and a representative from the department will also be available to answer questions following the presentation.

“Public input is a crucial part of our budget process. Ultimately, the budget we adopt must reflect residents’ priorities, so I encourage district residents to attend one or both of next week’s town hall meetings to share their thoughts. This is also a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the city staff who work on the budget and have questions big or small answered by the experts,” said Alderman Spiker.

The Finance and Personnel Committee will also host a Public Input Hearing on the 2027 city budget. This will take place on Saturday, October 17 at 9:30 a.m. at Mitchell Library, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. The event will be in-person, but those wishing to provide input virtually may do so by registering in advance here.
