Nonstop flights from Milwaukee to Los Angeles return in May.
Beginning May 8, budget carrier Spirit Airlines will fly between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
“We know there is high demand for nonstop flights to the west coast, and Spirit’s new nonstop service to LAX is timed well for a weekend beach vacation or a visit to Hollywood,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik.
The carrier is also adding twice-weekly nonstop flights to Baltimore and Nashville beginning May 9. With the additional destinations, Spirit will be running nonstop flights to eight destinations from Milwaukee: Baltimore, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando and Tampa.
Spirit first started flying out of Milwaukee Mitchell in 2021, running flights to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Orlando. The service was part of the company’s strategy to connect national hubs to smaller, regional airports.
Introductory fares for new flights coming in May start at $74 for flights to Los Angeles, $62 to Baltimore, and $60 to Nashville. Flights will run on Airbus A320 aircraft.
