Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Downtown Library
Private tour of speciality rooms, rare books, all the secrets of historic library.
Every day, thousands of people visit the Central Library. Not only is it the administrative headquarters for the Milwaukee Public Library system, but it serves as the resource library for the entire state of Wisconsin. And on December 11th, Urban Milwaukee members can get a free private behind-the-scenes tour of over seven different areas of this historic library.
This guided tour will be hosted on December 11th at 5 p.m. For approximately 90 minutes, attendees will get an in-depth look inside of Central’s Rotunda, Old Board Room, Children’s Room, Schoenleber Reading Room, and all of the speciality rooms — as well as the Krug Rare Books Room and the gorgeous Rotunda Dome. If you love local history, this is the perfect event for you.
The tour is free for Urban Milwaukee members, and an RSVP is required as space is limited.
