Who hasn’t been to Circle A? Certainly not any Riverwest music lovers that I know! Thanks for all the research, Michael Horne!

Thanks for stopping in and giving a thoughtful summary of Circle A. Hope our decor didn’t give you the wrong impression, but we offer some of the tastiest muddled-, shaken-, and stirred-drinks around.
    Cheers,

Reiny and Donna, my in-laws owned the New Wheel. It was like Cheers, where everyone knew your name. So many good memories are often shared when the family is all together. Donna passed away on Oct. 2nd. She would be happy to know the bar is a fun place once again.

In addition to muddled Old Fashions, Circle A specializes in Caipirihnas and Pisco Sours.

To set the record straight, I was “a Brown Deer neighbor of the Klisch brothers” from 1958 to 1974 but I did not “followed them to Riverwest when they opened Lakefront Brewery at 818 E. Chambers St. in December, 1987”. I was no longer a resident of Brown Deer, except for a few months here and there after 1974. My first eastside apartment was at 1140A E. Kane Pl. in 1975. I also lived at 1238 E. Brady St. and 1855 N. Cambridge Ave. before moving to Riverwest in 1986. A few months before that in 1985, the Klisch brotheres and I bought the building at 818-22 E. Chambers St., for the purpose of building Lakefront Brewery. I was the first to move in, to save rent money for investing in the brewery. Russ Klisch was living in brother Jim’s house on Bremen St. at that time. He followed me to the Chambers St. building a couple years later.
