The 2017 Doors Open Milwaukee takes place on September 23rd and 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here’s a look at one of our favorite destinations of the annual event in our Best of Doors Open series.

If you didn’t attend this past weekend’s Doors Open Milwaukee, you missed one of this town’s marquee events. The event allowed the public to visit 126 places with a wide variety of uses and architectural styles, from Jones Island to the Federal Courthouse. People were even able tour parts of buildings which are usually off limits.

One of the most popular destinations? The City Hall Bell Tower. Built in 1895 the tower is a landmark in downtown Milwaukee, and this weekend hundreds of people got the opportunity to take an up close view of its inner workings. Some even rang the bell.

I’d love to see this Bell Tower! Hope it isn’t overly-crowded!
