Celebrating Milwaukee on 4/14

Three years ago Milwaukeeans gained their own holiday, Milwaukee Day. Milwaukee Day, on 4-14 is a day to celebrate anything we love about our fair midwestern city, though with everything happening around us it should be a daily occurrence. Third Coast Daily was out and about enjoying the many facets of our 414 and has a photo gallery of our day.

The morning starts with Alterra Coffee, the Brewcity Bruisers (Semi-Finals bout at US Cellular next Sunday the 21st!) and Hamburger Mary’s (Gospel Brunch every Sunday at 1pm).  The afternoon takes us around the Third Ward and the Milwaukee Public Market. The evening wraps with the Milwaukee Day party at MOCT featuring several Milwaukee artists and musicians, including event headliners Hugh Bob and the Hustle, who also took home a Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award that night (held at Turner Hall Ballroom) for Best New Artist. A big congrats to all WAMI Award winners!
