A marathon runner and trained chemist says Milwaukee's vast manufacturing sector makes work fun.
How long have you lived in Milwaukee and why did you choose to live here?
I’ve lived in Milwaukee since attending Marquette University. I’m now in the Third Ward and choose to live here because of the neighborhood’s character and to be close to my family.
What about Milwaukee makes it a place you want to work and play?
I’m in the chemical industry so Milwaukee’s vast manufacturing makes work fun and innovative. On the play side: Beer. Brats. Custard.
What is your favorite Milwaukee event?
Al’s Run! It’s a family tradition and I love running along the lake. Lakefront Marathon is another great Milwaukee tradition. Completing it is one of my proudest accomplishments.
What is one thing you’d like to see change about Milwaukee?
I wish more people would get out and make Milwaukee their playground. We have a beautiful lakefront and one of the best park systems in the country.
What do you do?
I work for Hydrite Chemical Co. I’m a chemist by training and now have a sales role. I’m also involved in WGIRLS Milwaukee and on Marquette’s Young Alumni Board.
