Green with envy
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! A day we set aside to celebrate all things green. Hopefully you’re already sporting something green today, but if not, here are some ideas for you to get in the Irish spirit!
For this entry, I did some browsing on Etsy.com – my favorite go-to site for local and handcrafted items and found some beautiful things!
For those of you who haven’t heard of Etsy, here are some examples of what you can find on the site made up of vendors from all over the world. Think of it like eBay, but with unique handmade items too!
I loved this dainty leaf bracelet with green stone accents. This piece is perfect for spring and will go with many outfits beyond St. Patrick’s Day! I especially like the fact that it is layered – a super trendy way to wear thin-styled bangles. (Created by Katrin, Store: FrostedWillow)
Another item that caught my eye was this scarf. I might have a problem with liking scarves too much, my philosophy is that you can never have enough. They can make your outfit go from drab to fab in a second. For St. Paddy’s, I like this green infinity scarf. And bonus, it’s on sale!
(Created by Yvette Hayes, Store: boubo)
If you are going for a more eclectic vibe, try this beautiful handmade scarf with fringe detail. Paired with a solid white or black shirt, you’ll be wearing green in the classiest of ways. (Turkish, sold by Periay on Etsy.com)
A ring is another easy way to add some green bling to your outfit. I am in LOVE with this Variscite leaf ring. I love the unique shape and muted tone of the stone (and that it’s 30 percent off right now!). Make sure if you wear something unique like this, you let it be the main event. Go with a simple pair of earrings, but forgo a bracelet or chunky necklace to allow people to focus on your fingers! (Created by Lisa Hendrick, Store: LisaLovies)
These are only a few examples of the thousands of unique items on Etsy. I could spend hours paging through beautiful things! Take some time to browse around today and see if anything green tickles your fancy.
Thanks for the mention Emily!
