Zombies For Change in Madison

By - Apr 2nd, 2011 11:44 pm

It was the first sunny afternoon in days and the mood was light on State Street.  Not even the presence of more than 100 disgruntled zombies gathered outside Urban Outfitters, where Alicia Strakeljahn’s Facebook-organized zombie protest began, could dampen the spirits of shoppers and others enjoying the popular pedestrian mall. In fact, their signs, shambling and chants helped to elevate a simply pleasant day into something far more memorable.

Amid chants of “What do we want?” “Brains!” and “When do we want them?” “Brains!”, zombie protesters carried signs expressing their displeasure with Governor Scott Walker’s policies. Sending their message in no uncertain terms, standouts included “Even Zombies Are Active, Get Out And Vote April 5th”, “Walker: Turning The Working Class Into The Walking Dead” and “Walker Promise Zombie 250,000 Brains, Then Throw Away 20,000+ Public Brains.  Zombie Say ARHHHHHH.”

The zombies did have a legal permit to shamble and groan peacefully to the steps of the capitol, where they took a slow lap around the square before joining the living. And we’ve got the pictures. Enjoy.

If you people had real jobs and cared about our society and the people that will continue to run our countries, you would not be so ignorant. Go back to school and get an education and stop living off your parents and the government! You are a pathetic species! YES ZOMBIES – a good name for such a pathetic generation.
