Busby Girls: female dancers, age open
Silver Fox: female, late 50s or beyond. She is a sexy and confident businesswoman who is not afraid to go after exactly what she wants. She wears mini-skirt suits and gets away with it. Ideally, she will have long silver or white hair.
Appletini: female, late 20s-early 40s. Appletini is a peppy sweetheart of a party girl. She gets confused easily, except when it comes to ordering drinks, and she never lacks enthusiasm for having a good time. She’ll try anything at least once (and probably twice, just to be sure). She doesn’t always follow the rules, but it’s hard not to like her.
Crime Scene: male, age open. Crime Scene is a cop who met Appletini while investigating a crime scene. When she approached him enthusiastically while he was on duty, he took a liking to her. He is somewhat hardened by his work experiences, but he is still charmed by feminine wiles and up for a good time.
Off Duty: male, age open. Off duty is another cop who met Appletini while dancing at Victor’s. He is a genuinely good guy who looks out for people even when he is not on duty. He also isn’t afraid to use his status as a cop to woo women.
Hottie on a Bike: female, mid-20s-early 40s. Hottie is a resourceful girl next door who happens to be riding a bike since she totaled her car. Eager to find love, she gives men the benefit of the doubt and always hopes that this one is “the one.”
Car Crash: male, mid-20s-early 40s. Car Crash was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He’s an average Joe who got blindsided by Hottie both literally and figuratively. During the crash, he couldn’t help but be forgiving, because he was immediately taken with her. He thinks he might have experienced love at first sight.
Farmer: female, 30s-40s. She is commonsensical and, as her name implies, a farmer by trade. She is confused by the hullabaloo of The Gobbler and hesitant to jump into the prospect of new love. She is smart and methodical in her thinking… until she is won over by love in the end.
Sandals: male, 30s-40s. He is an earthy guy who works at an outdoor store like REI or Cabela’s. He likes hiking and camping and would prefer the countryside to a big city any day. He is nice, polite, likeable, and cautious because he has been pining for the Farmer for years, so he really does not want to screw up their first date.
Valet: male, age open. He is a polite but dark and not overly friendly—like a butler in a horror film. He does his job well, but he does not seem to fit the bright and colorful environment in which he works.
Hostess: female, age open
Server: female, age open
Mermaid: female, age open
Bartender: male, age open
Cast actors will be credited, receive a copy of the film, and be fed and dressed to the 9’s through production. Missed Connections will be entered in many major film festivals, nationally and internationally, and will ultimately live online, and will likely be sold on itunes.
