OK, In general I love working and eating out downtown, but Downtown Dining Week is a joke for the most part. In general over the last handful of years I think 4 of 5 Downtown Dining Week specials have had crummy food, poor service and a long wait. There are some standouts each year, like Karl Ratzsch’s and Coquette Cafe, but in general I have been disappointed. I find it odd that restaurants put out iffy to bad food just to make money the one week a year they can tempt workers away from their corporate cafeterias.
@Dave Schlabowske The complaint I normally here is from staff about poor tipping this week… Interesting.
I am trying it for lunch tomorrow so we will see. I make sure to tip well;)
