Snow is Not Good for Buses
The massive amount of snow that fell on Milwaukee on Thursday night wrecked some serious havoc on the MCTS 10 bus route on Friday. Lyon Street, to which I call home, appeared to have some kind of magnetic snow that attracted buses. By 10:30 a.m. three buses were stuck in the snow on Lyon Street (which ironically only crosses the 10 route, but isn’t actually part of it), and three more were stuck in the snow within two blocks.

Wish I had my camera with me, on 124 & National, there were two buses stuck side-by-side.
I was on the road all morning and couldn’t begin to tell you how many buses I seen stuck with their back tires against the curb.
Needless to say I’m sure there were more than a few cars stuck in the ditch yesterday as well.
PS Welcome to UM Patrick..
I live on Knapp and Astor and my boyfriend told me about the buses, as there were two 10 buses right by our building. Apparently one had been there since 6:30am.
just another obvious reason light rail needs to be built
