Summerfest Announces Seventh Marcus Amphitheater Headliner for 2016

Tim McGraw will play the Marcus Amphitheater on July 3 with Special Guests Kacey Musgraves and Ryan Kinder

MILWAUKEE (March 14, 2016) – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the seventh major show of Summerfest 2016.  Tim McGraw will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday, July 3 with Special Guest Kacey Musgraves and Ryan Kinder.  

Tim McGraw has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and dominated the charts with 36 #1 singles.  He’s won three Grammy Awards, 16 Academy ofCountry Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People’s Choice Awards and numerous other honors. His iconic career achievements include being named the BDS Most Played Artist of the Decade for all music genres and having the Most Played Song of the Decade for all music genres with “Something Like That.”  He is the most played Country artist since his debut in 1992, with two singles spending over 10 weeks at #1 (“Live Like You Were Dying” and “Over and Over”). His current single “Top Of The World,” off his Damn Country Music album is his 58th top 10 single. His critically acclaimed acting skills were highlighted in the award winning Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side. Tim most recently starred in Disney’s Tomorrowland.

Joining him for this anticipated Marcus Amphitheater show is GRAMMY and CMA Award winner, Kacey Musgraves.  After earning significant praise with her Mercury Records Nashville debut album, Same Trailer Different Park in 2013, her latest album, Pageant Material recently debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country albums charts and has been met with massive critical acclaim and recognition from press outlets all over the world. Up and coming country and pop singer, songwriter and guitarist Ryan Kinder will also join the show.

Tickets for Tim McGraw’s show on Sunday, July 3 go on sale Friday, March 18 at 12:00 pm CST and include Summerfest admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Summerfest Box Office in person and by phone at 1.414.273.2600, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, Walmart stores, online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 1.800.745.3000 (live Ticketmaster Agent) or 1.866.448.7849 (“Ticketmaster Express” automated phone line).  Patrons may also utilize “ticketfast” at Ticketmaster.com to print barcoded concert tickets from home.  Convenience fees may be added to all purchases.

 Summerfest fans get access to “Stay Connected” presales before tickets go on sale to the general public when they subscribe to receive Summerfest News email alerts at Summerfest.com, “Like” Summerfest on Facebook or follow Summerfest on Twitter.  The Tim McGraw presale will run Thursday, March 17 from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm CST or until presale inventory has been exhausted.
