MILWAUKEE (January 4, 2016) – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. and ReverbNation launch year two of a three year agreement that provides interested Artists the opportunity to take the stage at Summerfest, one of the largest and most successful music festivals in the world.

Since 1968, Summerfest has brought some of the biggest names in music, along with local favorites and emerging talent, to play for more than 850,000 music fans annually along the shores of Lake Michigan. This 11-day festival features more than 800 Artists spanning all genres, from alternative rock to country, hip hop, Top 40, classic rock, indie and everything in between.  Artists interested in the chance to perform at Summerfest can submit at Reverbnation.com now through March 31, 2016 for free.

“As we continue our efforts to provide the best and most diverse music to Summerfest fans, we are thrilled to be partnering with ReverbNation for a second year,” said Bob Babisch, Vice President of Entertainment, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. “Last year, ReverbNation connected us with up and coming Artists that helped us build one of the strongest and most unique lineups we’ve seen in years and we’re excited to keep the momentum going.”

ReverbNation provides approximately 4 million Artists with exciting opportunities and promotional tools to achieve their career goals. ReverbNation’s curation-at-scale capability enables the company to identify bands among its members who are ready for high profile opportunities to build their careers, and empowers partners like Summerfest to discover emerging talent to continue to build a diverse lineup year after year. Last year, 40 ReverbNation Artists in total were offered slots to play at Summerfest.

“We are so pleased to be working with Summerfest for the second year in a row,” said Mike Doernberg, CEO of ReverbNation. “It’s a huge validation of our curation capabilities and of the quality of music on our roster. Additionally, we are pleased that Summerfest has worked with us to make the application process free of charge, something that was crucial for us and for our Artists. We’re all looking forward to having ReverbNation Artists performing on Summerfest’s world class stages again this year.”
