Russ Feingold Announces Veterans Advisory Committee
Group of 15 Wisconsin veterans will assist campaign for U.S. Senate
MADISON — Fifteen Wisconsin veterans will compose the newly formed Russ For Wisconsin Veterans Advisory Committee to provide Russ Feingold and his campaign for U.S. Senate with regular advice on the issues important to veterans.
The group will host informal meetings throughout the campaign to present an opportunity for Russ to listen to the needs and concerns veterans are facing across Wisconsin.
The group is balanced to include veterans from different military branches, different backgrounds and both urban and rural Wisconsin.
“I believe the role of U.S. senator and a candidate is to listen first to hear the concerns and struggles facing Wisconsinites,” said Russ Feingold. “I’m proud that as a U.S. senator, I was able to work with Wisconsin veterans to open new VA facilities in Rice Lake, Hayward, La Crosse and Wausau. I hope that by forming this Veterans Advisory Council, I can hear about the unique issues faced by veterans young and old, urban and rural, and then work together to find solutions that improve care and services for the men and women who serve our country.”
The fifteen members of the Veterans Advisory Council include:
