Common Council President Willie L. Hines, Jr., Alderman Terry L. Witkowski, chair of the Council’s Public Safety Committee, and other members of the Common Council will host a news conference TODAY, Thursday, January 17, 2013 in the City Hall Rotunda at 11:00 a.m. to discuss significant changes in the Council’s confirmation process for mayoral appointees to the Fire and Police Commission.
