  1. Lisa P. Rabideaux says:

This is terrible. Trick or Treat in Milwaukee is almost always ( as long as I can remember it ) on a SUNDAY afternoon. It should not be changed to a Saturday. Why was it changed?

  2. Lisa F says:

I would hope they changed it because Halloween is actually on the weekend. It seems silly to have the kids trick or treating on Octobert 25th or November 1st.

  3. pat says:

i think it is great that it is on sat. even more so that it actually falls on halloween.

  4. Kitty says:

Thank goodness it was changed. So what if it was always on Sunday. The actual day of Halloween is Saturday this year. I think you can adapt for one day a year.

  5. Jesse Hagen says:

They should keep trick or treat on Halloween, it’s annoying to move it around so much and takes the fun out of the holiday. Many neighborhoods just end up having their own on the actual day anyway…

  6. tierney fountaine says:

its about time that its on halloween!!

  7. jeff says:

They probably changed it because the Packers play that team from Minnesota who has that quarterback that use to be popular some time ago, Brent Frave or something like that.

  8. FYI, Bay View has night time trick or treat on Saturday, October 31 from 5pm to 8pm.

  9. Marie Klein says:

I am surprised and glad it is on Saturday. I think it was a no brainer this year…..People want to go to Packer parties, or hand out candy??? I also like it because you don’t need to go to work or school the next day, so you can make it a fun day for the kiddies!

  10. Joe says:

I must agree with ‘Lisa P.’ in that this IS terrible! Trick or treat needs to be held on a sunday.
For some of us parents who rely on that “Sunday Trick-or-Treat” as a teaching tool, or reward.
For others still we rely on the “Saturday work shift” to pay the bills.
    How can we change this?

  11. Sue says:

You manage the same way that parents that work on Sundays for years do…
I have 2 jobs, my second job requires me to work on Sunday. And I have always managed.
Have who ever is watching your kids while you work take them thru the neighborhood… there, problem solved !!!

  12. Linda S says:

Really? Who cares if it falls on Saturday?! Other communities do it on the actual date and in the evening. What if Milwaukee did that? Would your whole world come crashing down? How can moving the day from Sunday to Saturday be such a HUGE deal, and cause this much commotion? It’s one day! How about a little bit -and I mean a LITTLE bit of flexability! Aren’t there much bigger issues out there to worry about? I’m astonished.

  13. Trista Petrusak says:

I think it is a great idea to have it on Sat since it is Halloween. I am also used to it being on a Sunday but it makes so much more sence to have it on October 31st and not Nov. 1st.

  14. Trista Petrusak says:

I was wondering if anyone has information on night Trick or Treating in West Allis….it’s from 89th to 91st streets and from Greenfield to Slinger. I have taken my son every year for the past 2 but my mom moved from the neighborhood and I am not sure when and if they are holding it this year. If anyone has any information I would greatly appriciate it! Thanks in advance.

  15. Dulce says:

lmao im “astonished” tht trista is so upset over SOMONE ELSE BEING UPSET. leave her alone, youre pathetic.

  16. Bob Jenkins says:

Greenfrield should have the same hours as Milwaukee . When the trick or treaters are done in Milwaukee at 4 O’clock then they trick or treat in Greendfield from 4 to 7. I do not appreciate the car loads that are dropped off in in our neighborhood .

  17. Doug G. says:

who cares about Halloween? It’s Bucks opening night!

  18. georgia says:

I wish Trick or Treat was always on a Saturday. Having to go to the door during a Packer game takes away from an otherwise light hearted time.

  19. Christine says:

I agree with Georgia, trick or treating should always be on Saturday!!! And as far as other dates for other communities, I think that’s just fine too!!! It then covers the Hours for people like Joe, who work on Saturdays, Joe can then take his kids to Oak Creek where Trick or Treating is on Sunday.. How about that, and Doug GO BUCKS!!!

  20. BIANCA says:

It’s on saturday because it is actually on saturday this year. Generally the rule is if the 31st falls during the week, trick or treat will happen the following sunday. This year we got lucky!!!

  21. Chelsey says:

The Silver City Main Street District (National Avenue from 31st to 39th street) is holding a trick or treat street from 4-6pm- after regular City of Milwaukee trick or treating hours.

Participating businesses on the Main Street will be clearly marked.

National Avenue will be shut down between these spots to make way for the Kiddie Train- children are welcome to take free rides!

Costume contests (3 categories: under 12, under 16, over 16) will take place at 5:15. If participating, arrive at 3741 W National Ave (the KMIEC Law Office) to be judged!

This event is loads of fun! visit http://www.lbwn.org or http://www.silvercitymainstreet.org for more info.
