Future Entrepreneurs Moving Ahead will host pitch competition
Milwaukee (October 10, 2022) – Future Entrepreneurs Moving Ahead (F.E.M.A), an organization designed to develop entrepreneurship skills in youth from 8 -17 years old, will host a youth pitch competition at the My City My Biz Small Business Expo on October 15, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. CST to 12:30 p.m. CST at The Collective Marketplace located in Bayshore Shopping Center, 5700 N. Bayshore Dr, Glendale, WI 53217. My City My Biz is a yearly gathering of adult entrepreneurs founded by Dr. Shontina Gladney, where F.E.MA Founder Laneice McGee has showcased youth entrepreneurs at the expo for five years.
“I am honored to create a platform for youth to take risks, to discover themselves, and to find ways to connect to something that challenges them,” said McGee. “I listen to the youth as they share their plans and I see endless dreams. This program creates structure and guidance to help them to create what they desire.”
A cash prize will be awarded to the youth winner.
The F.E.M.A. pitch competition will feature five youth entrepreneurs:
- Latrelle Jackson owner of Exotik Milwaukee (clothing brand)
- Aiden Hayes owner of Aiden’s Famous Lemonades
- Gabriel Lyday provides DJ services
- Milan Washington owner of Dolled up by Milan (custom outfits for dolls)
- Khaleah Okoro owner of Khaleah’s Kollections (custom jewelry and lip gloss)
