Wishing our Sister City, Kragujevac, a Srecna Slava
Statement from Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II
On behalf of the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Sister Cities Committee, I want to extend my warmest greeting of Srecna Slava to Mayor Nikola Dasic and the people of Kragujevac, Serbia, on the occasion of Djurdjevdan, the cherished Slava of their great city.
May this day of celebration, which reflects the rich Serbian cultural heritage, enduring traditions, and strong community spirit that define Kragujevac, be festive and filled with great joy. As sister cities, Milwaukee and Kragujevac share a relationship grounded in mutual respect, cultural exchange, and a commitment to strengthening international understanding. We are proud of this partnership and the opportunities it creates for collaboration, learning, and friendship between our citizens.
On this special day, please accept our sincere wishes for your health, prosperity, and continued success. May Djurdjevdan bring joy and renewal to your community, and may you celebrate for hundreds of years to come. Ziveli!
We look forward to further deepening the ties between our two cities in the years ahead.
