About the I-794 Lake Interchange Study
WisDOT, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is evaluating alternatives for the I-794 Lake Interchange corridor in downtown Milwaukee. The study area is approximately one mile of I-794 between the Milwaukee River and the Hoan Bridge. The purpose of the study is to address deteriorating infrastructure in a manner that improves safety and operations without adding capacity on I-794, while also striving to enhance community connectivity and compatibility with local plans and development.
Additional information about the I-794 Lake Interchange Study can be found on the study website at www.794lakeinterchange.wisconsindot.gov. Materials displayed and provided at the meetings will also be posted on the website.
