WisDems Chair Statement on Democratic Over-Performance in Tennessee Special Election
MADISON, Wis. — In response to Democrats’ over-performance in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker released the following statement:
“The alarm bells are flashing for Republicans as Democrats are seeing a continuous surge in engagement and motivation as we head into next year’s Supreme Court election. The GOP’s stunning 12% underperformance in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional district, despite a desperate $3 million effort to stem their losses in a district won by 22% in 2024, proves that voters are done with the Republicans’ disastrous policies.“From Tennessee to Virginia to Mississippi to Ohio, voters are rejecting the GOP’s cost-raising agenda that focuses on enriching billionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos by taking away health care and food from children, veterans, and the elderly. And in Wisconsin, where we’ve proven time and again we know how to fight and win in the worst of times, we are going to take this momentum to expand a majority that believes in fairness for all on our state supreme court and secure a blue trifecta next November.”
