Milwaukee, WI – The Wisconsin Muslim Civic Alliance (WMCA) and the Wisconsin Muslim Civic Foundation (WMCF) are thrilled to announce a series of culturally-themed “Party at the Polls” events to encourage voter turnout within Wisconsin’s diverse communities. The events will be held on October 22, October 29, October 31, November 1, and November 3, aligning with the start of early voting on October 22.

Each event will celebrate the rich cultural heritage of various Wisconsin Muslim communities through interactive stations, offering a vibrant and engaging blend of tradition, education, and civic participation. The schedule for these events is as follows:

  • Bring Palestine to the Polls – October 22 in Milwaukee
  • Bring Sudan to the Polls – October 29 in Milwaukee
  • Bring Burma to the Polls – October 31 in Milwaukee
  • Bring Pakistan to the Polls – November 1 in Milwaukee
  • Bring Somalia to the Polls – November 3 in Green Bay

Attendees can enjoy music, food, art, history, trivia, photo booths, and more. Interactive stations will feature cultural and educational activities, and participants will receive a “passport” to be stamped at each station, encouraging full engagement with the event’s offerings.

Fauzia Qureshi, Executive Director of WMCA/WMCF, emphasized the importance of these events: “At a time when genocides are occurring, and cultures face erasure, we want to celebrate and uplift these vibrant heritages. We aim to empower the most marginalized voices to be heard at the polls. These events are about more than voting—they are about solidarity, resilience, and community.”
